testform diff

testform [global options] diff [options]

The testform diff command performs a direct, read-only comparison between your local .feature files and the recorded state file (testform.state).

Unlike testform plan (which checks remote Provider APIs for drift), testform diff runs 100% locally and instantaneously, making it ideal for fast pre-commit checks and editor plugins.

Command Options

Option	Default	Description
-target=address	—	Limits diffing to a specific resource address.
-no-color	false	Disables colored console output.
-json	false	Emits diff results as JSON.

Real Execution Example

$ testform diff

Exit Codes

• 0: Diff completed successfully (no differences found).
• 1: Error reading files or invalid syntax.
• 2: Differences detected between local code and state.
